Coleman is due back in court for a pretrial conference January, 16.

According to a probable cause affidavit officials with the McCordsville Police Department were called to Hawthorne Drive for a domestic disturbance. Dispatch the affidavit stated could hear multiple people screaming about “hitting” and being let go. Officials noted when they got there a juvenile opened the door and said, “come here I need help.”

The report said officials then saw Coleman standing over a female at the top of the stairs. Officials said they smelled marijuana when they came in and saw drops of blood in the residence. The female told officials Coleman had beaten her.

Officials were given a gun by the child they said was used in the beating incident. The victim was taken to St. Vincent Hospital due to the severity of the injuries the report said. The report stated officials located a clear plastic container that was labeled as “Alley Cat Half Ounce.” Officials said the container contained a green leafy plant like substance officials knew to be marijuana and they also found a pot-lab, plastic baggies, a white powdery substance (officials said field tested positive for fentanyl and cocaine), a box of ammunition, and a firearm.
