GREENFIELD – Two candidate forums are coming up this week, giving local voters the opportunity to hear from some of the candidates running for United States House District 6 and Hancock County Council.
Only Democratic and Libertarian candidates accepted the invitation to the forums. Republican candidates declined the invitation.
The District 6 forum will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts in downtown Greenfield. The venue is located at 122 W. Main St. The event will feature Democratic candidate Cinde Wirth and Libertarian candidate James Sceniak. Also running for the seat is Republican Jefferson Shreve. The event will be streamed by Woof Boom Radio.
The forum for the Hancock County Council at-large seats (three seats are on the ballot) is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. The event will feature Democrats Frank Rock Jr., Carol Pearson and Linda Robinson; and Libertarian Luke Lomax. Republicans running for the three open seats are Robin Lowder, Kent Fisk and John Jessup.
The forums are presented by the League of Women Voters – Hancock County Indiana.
