Blair Howard Prigg, age 78, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born the son of Robert and Mary (Howard) Prigg on September 26, 1945, in Ft. Benning, GA. Blair graduated from Pendleton High School with the Class of 1963. Blair attended Indiana University – Bloomington, graduating in 1967 receiving his bachelor’s degree in business management and his master’s degree in personnel administration in 1972. While at IU, he met the love of his life, Harriet (Ponsler) Prigg and was married on February 17, 1968, in Anderson, Indiana.

Blair honorably served our country in the United States Air Force for four years as a Staff Sergeant. Blair spent twenty-seven years of his career at Service Supply Co. in Indianapolis as the accounting manager and eventual controller. Later, he would run his own successful business starting at Haines-Prigg Accounting &Tax and then B.H.P. Accounting Services, Inc. Blair was a member of the Brookside, Bradley and Trinity Park United Methodist Churches throughout the years where he would play the organ faithfully every Sunday. Most recently, he was a member at Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church in Greenfield. Blair was on the board of Mental Health Partners of Hancock County, where he served as treasurer. When not serving others, he enjoyed music, reading books, and gardening.

Blair is survived by his wife, Harriet Prigg of Greenfield; son, Tim (Rebecca) Prigg of Greenfield; daughter, Kimberly (Andy) Miller of Greenfield; sister, Linda (Garland) Bellamy of Franklin; eight grandchildren, Trenton, Cole, and Mackenzie Pierce; Jaxan Prigg; Jakob Prigg; step grandchildren, Zac (Emily) Miller; Levi Miller (Caribbean Smith); Makenzie Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Miller; and Camryn Miller; niece, Brenda Bellamy of Seattle; brother-in-laws, David (Sandi) Ponsler; Mark (Annamarie) Ponsler; Paul (Kelly) Ponsler; sister-in-laws, Marti Ponsler; Barbara Ponsler; and Martha Ponsler. Blair is preceded in death by his parents mentioned above, and brother-in-law, Harold Ponsler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church, 994 N. CR 600 E., Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Theo Griffin officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force. Cremation will follow the services.
