Therapy dogs to benefit from show

GREENFIELD – A free, family-friendly comedy show in support of Greenfield-Central’s therapy dogs is coming up.

HeeHaws for Paws will be at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway St., Greenfield. Dave “The King” Wilson will be featured, along with the G-C ComedySportz High School League.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at gcmusic.ludus.com. Proceeds support the training of therapy dogs.

FFA hog roast this Friday

CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Eastern Hancock FFA will host its annual hog roast fundraiser from 5-7 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 6.

Pulled pork sandwich meal is $8 and includes chips, apple crisp and a drink. A sandwich and drink is $5; sandwich and chips, $5; sandwich alone is $4. The fundraiser is located at the EHHS grassy area by the tennis courts during the home football game.

Winter clothing giveaway Sept. 14

GREENFIELD – Pick up free winter coats, hats, gloves and more in a giveaway event.

Coats of Many Colors is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Steak ‘N Shake, 2121 N. State St., Greenfield. The event is hosted by Apostolic Pentecostal Church and includes items of all sizes, from infant to adult. Contact Pastor Joseph Riggs with questions at 317-496-6845.

Pulled pork meal Saturday

GREENFIELD – A pulled pork meal is coming up 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 7, hosted by Hancock Lodge 101.

The $9.99 meal includes a sandwich and a choice of two sides, coleslaw, baked beans or macaroni and cheese. Bottled water is an additional $1; soft drinks, $2.
