INDIANAPOLIS
Nicholas W. Barrett, 45 of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born the son of David &Kathy (Wilson) Barrett on February 24, 1979, in Greenfield, Indiana. Nick graduated from Greenfield-Central High School with the Class of 1997. He later attended the International Academy of Design &Technology.
Nick was a family man at heart and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Nick had a passion for shoe collecting, and his current job as the Store Manager at the Greenwood Footlocker allowed him to be surrounded by his passion daily which brought him great joy. Nick also enjoyed researching the ins and outs of Cryptocurrency. Nick also enjoyed singing, but only occasionally exposed his talent. He will be missed by many.
Nick is survived by his mother, Kathy Barrett; brother, David (Leigh) Barrett; nieces, Carson Barrett (Skylar Hettenbach); and Kendall Barrett; girlfriend, Mildred Henderson; daughter, A’Miyah Vest; and several aunts and uncles. Nick is preceded in death by his father, David Barrett.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00pm. Pastor Matt Wickham will officiate. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
