McCordsville to host community events

MCCORDSVILLE – The town of McCordsville will host community several community events this fall.

Market in McCordsville and Cars & Coffee events are scheduled for Sept. 15 and Oct. 6.

Cars and Coffee events are from 9-11 a.m. at McCordsville Town Hall Community Park, 6280 W. 800N., McCordsville. The free community event accepts all vehicle makes, models and years. Parking is on the grass until the field is wet; free coffee and donuts are available.

The Market in McCordsville runs from 1-4 p.m. on the same dates and also at Town Hall Community Park. Local crafters, artisans, farmers and home-based businesses are on site. Admission and parking are free.

The second annual Party in the Park is also coming up. The free community event is set for 6-9 p.m. Sept. 7 at Town Hall Park, 6280 W. 800N., McCordsville.

Expect a zip line, axe throwing trailer, inflatables, a caricature artist, face painting, music, local vendors and more. Food is available for purchase at food trucks and a movie will be shown at dusk.

Pizza fundraiser set for animal rescue group

GREENFIELD – Partners in Animal Welfare Society will benefit from a dining event coming up. P.A.W.S. Hancock will have a fundraiser at Hometown Pizza, 1002 E. Main St., Greenfield, from 4-9 p.m. Sept. 4. Twenty percent of all sales will go to P.A.W.S. in delivery, carry-out or dine-in. Orders can be placed by calling 317-462-5054. Mum sale to benefit local family nonprofit

GREENFIELD – Hancock 4 Kids is hosting a fall mum sale as a fundraiser.

All proceeds benefit Hancock County children and families, through events and programs dedicated to strengthening families and preventing child abuse.

Cost is $16 per mum; plants are 18 inches tall in 9-inch pots. Ordering is open now through Sept. 1 at hancock4kids.org/event/cacfaf-fall-mum-sale/

Mobile blood drives coming to county

HANCOCK COUNTY – Several mobile blood drives are coming up across Hancock County during the first two weeks of September.

In Greenfield, the INDOT District office will host a blood drive Sept. 12. The Live Like B Foundation Blood Drive is Sept. 7 at Brandywine Community church.

On the west side of the county, Fortville Christian Church hosts a blood drive Sept. 9; New Beginnings Fellowship Church, Sept. 15; and Daniel’s Vineyard, Sept. 4.
