Dining events to benefit soup kitchen

GREENFIELD – Dine to donate to the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen in events this Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Lincoln Square Pancake House in Greenfield and Fortville will donate a portion of proceeds to the soup kitchen. The Greenfield restaurant is at 118 W. Main St.; the Fortville restaurant is at 901 E. Broadway St.

Benefit car show coming to New Pal

NEW PALESTINE – The second annual Anything On Wheels car show benefiting Whalens Heroes is coming up in New Palestine.

The event is 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. this Sunday, Aug. 25 at the New Palestine Lions Club, 5242 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine. The event features a food truck, raffle, silent auction and more. Whalens Heroes funds service dogs for veterans. Learn more at whalensheroes.org/events.

Volunteer fair coming to Thrive Center

GREENFIELD – A volunteer fair is coming up in September at the Community Foundation of Hancock County.

The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Thrive Center, 941 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. Nonprofit organizations will have table space and members of the community are invited to walk around tables and learn about how to help local organizations.
