Mattress fundraiser to support G-C band

GREENFIELD – Greenfield-Central High School’s band and guard program will host its ninth annual mattress fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 24.

The Custom Fundraising Solutions event will be in the band room at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway St., Greenfield. There will be 30 mattress styles on display for customers to try with name brands. Mattresses are available two to three weeks after the fundraiser. The band and guard program benefits from each purchase.

Bowling event to benefit Love INC

GREENFIELD – Love In the Name of Christ of Greater Hancock County is hosting a bowling event this month.

Fraud program coming to HCPL

GREENFIELD – An educational program about fraud is coming to the community.

The Greenfield Police Department has partnered with the Indiana Securities Division to host “Shielding the Community: A Joint Initiative Against Fraud.” The event will be from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. The event will include information on scams, red flags of fraud, prevention tips and how to report. Email a reservation for the event to [email protected].

Golf fundraiser set for MVEF

FORTVILLE – The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation is planning a golf fundraiser.
