Art, music festival returning to downtown Greenfield

GREENFIELD – The Pennsy Trail Art Fair and Music Festival is coming to downtown Greenfield the last Saturday of the month.

Festivities will take place 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 27 at the Hancock County Courthouse plaza and American Legion Place. The event, hosted by Mental Health Partners of Hancock County, features local crafters and artisans, as well as live entertainment. Live entertainment coming to outdoor venues

GREENFIELD – Several free concerts are coming to Hancock County’s outdoor venues this month.

Fleetwood Gold and the Fleetwood Mac Experience performs this Saturday, July 20 at Depot Street Park with opening act Project 19 starting at 6 p.m. Later this month, the park will also feature local British Invasion rock band 45 RPM with opening act Vinyl Eclipse at 6 p.m. July 26.

In New Palestine, the Nauti Yachtys perform at 7 p.m. July 27 at the Music on Depot event, located on East Main Street.

Downtown Cumberland features Blues, Beer and BBQ from 6-10 p.m. July 27. Performers are Jennie DeVoe, King Bee and the Stingers and Queen Delphine and the Crown Jewels.

Musical’s final performances this weekend

GREENFIELD – The final performances of “The 25th Annual County Spelling Bee” are July 19, 20 and 21.

The musical by the CrazyLake Acting Company is at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The musical features a fictional competition between six quirky middle school students who sing about their home lives, their hopes and dreams and their fears in between rounds of the spelling bee. The cast is rounded out by school personnel and members of the spellers’ families.

Tickets are available for $10 at Hometown Comics, $12 online at crazylakeacting.com or $15 at the door before the show. The H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts is located at 122 W. Main St., Greenfield.
