Registration open for McCordsville run

MCCORDSVILLE – A run that benefits McCordsville’s community improvement program is around the corner. The 10th annual McCordsville Path to Fitness 5K is Aug. 10 and registration is open now.

The event is hosted by the town of McCordsville and will be at the Hancock Wellness Center in McCordsville. Proceeds from the 5K go to the Building a Brighter McCordsville fund through the Community Foundation of Hancock County. The fund provides grants to make park improvements and upgrades throughout the town.

Registration is $25 for adults, $10 for children 12 and younger. Sign up at runsignup.com/Race/IN/McCordsville/PathtoFitness5K.

Greenfield Main Street seeks volunteers

GREENFIELD – Greenfield Main Street is looking for community volunteers to join the group.

Greenfield Main Street works to enhance the downtown area. Volunteers could help with marketing and image building, business promotions, special events and festivals, business retention programs, historic preservation and more. Mobile blood drives coming up

HANCOCK COUNTY – Several mobile blood drives are coming up across Hancock County during the last two weeks of July.

This Wednesday, July 18 mobile blood drives will be at Hancock Wellness Center in Greenfield, Greenfield Banking Company in Greenfield and Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville.

Wooden Bear Brewing in downtown Greenfield will host a drive July 20. Hancock Wellness in New Palestine will host a drive July 30.

Local churches hosting drives include McCordsville United Methodist Church, July 18; St. John United Church of Christ in Cumberland, July 20; Fortville Church of the Nazarene, July 24; and Zion Lutheran Church, July 27.
