Town seeks donations for “mascot” cat

MCCORDSVILLE – Oscar the cat, the town mascot for McCordsville, could use donations from the local community to pay for care and medical bills.

While Oscar is looked after by all town employees, his care is funded entirely by donations from staff and the public. The town’s newsletter recently stated that as Oscar ages, he has health issues that can be costly. A donation box is located inside of town hall; cash and check donations are accepted. Checks can be made out to “Town of McCordsville,” Attn.: Oscar.
