CUMBERLAND – Live music and rich food abound this weekend in Cumberland with the return of Blues, Beer & BBQ.

The concert series will feature the community’s fireworks display Saturday at the conclusion of the event. Performing live are Black Cat & The Bones, Rebekah Meldrum and Tad Robinson.

“People are excited about it in general, but our first one is always our highest-attended because people are excited for the fireworks,” said Victoria Musser, spokesperson for the town of Cumberland.

Blues, Beer & BBQ is a free, four-concert series at 11623 E. Washington St., Cumberland. While most concerts happen from 5-9 p.m., the first event is from 6-10 p.m. June 29 to accommodate dusk for the fireworks. Simply bring a lawn chair for free entertainment; food trucks are on site. Giveaways are also common, and the first event will feature glow necklaces and rings.

Musser said the community strives to make the event family-friendly, and a dedicated adjoining park is perfect for children to explore while enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Blues, Beer & BBQ first started in 2017 and has grown in popularity annually.

New this year is a VIP Experience option, as a way to raise funds to support the concert. Participants can pay to have special seating at the concerts, complete with a tent, fan and bucket of ice.

Also new in 2024 is each concert has a theme.

“The first one is Chicago Blues theme,” Musser explained. “The second one is Ladies Night, so we have all female performers. The third one is Southern Blues and the fourth one is Rocktember.”

Here’s a look at performers to expect at each event:
