GREENFIELD — The Brandywine Car Show on June 15 will raise money to support ministry initiatives through World Renewal, a mission organization with headquarters east of Greenfield.

The annual car show has taken place at Brandywine Community Church for several years and has supported different causes from year to year. This year, it will support humanitarian work in Haiti in memory of Nick Fiano.

Fiano, an award-winning landscaper, had in recent years put aside his business and focused on ministry.

“Their work in the Dominican Republic was mostly with Haitian refugees that had left Haiti trying to survive,” said World Renewal founder Gary Wright, who added Fiano talked weekly with several pastors and church leaders in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

“He really did a great job of connecting with them, praying with them and encouraging them,” Wright said.

Since Fiano’s death from cancer in April, World Renewal has received donations in his memory to continue such work, Wright said, with Fiano’s wife, Jamie, giving direction on where the support goes. Donations from the car show will further aid the ministry work.

“We’re really just continuing on with what he did,” Wright said.

Registration for the car show is free and is open the day of the show from 9-11 a.m. at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 featuring prizes, a live band, bounce house, corn hole and food.

Donations are accepted, benefiting the World Renewal Nick Fiano Memorial Missions Fund. Visit brandywinechurch.org/events or email [email protected] to pre-register.
