NEW PALESTINE — They did it. The New Palestine High School Class of 2024 turned in their final assignments a few days ago and picked up their diplomas Friday night during a special outdoor graduation ceremony at the football stadium in front of hundreds of family and friends. With the wind whipping, the well-wishers dodged the raindrops and congratulated all the senior students who were dressed in Dragon-red gowns and caps on their massive achievement of closing out their high school careers. They made it through COVID and a construction project at the high school, principal Jim Voelz reminded the graduates. While a thunderstorm hit just as the students turned their tassels, the ceremony was completed. The Class Valedictorians were Noah Dropsey and Andrew Potter; the Salutatorian was Bradon Newcomb while Anne Bauer was the Class President.
