Homes selling quickly across Hancock County, central region

Earlier this year, the Lannings were recipients of a home from Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity, which builds or restores a home in Hancock County about every two years. Homes are selling more quickly now than they were a year ago, according to a press release from the F.C. Tucker Company.

HANCOCK COUNTY – Hancock County had an increase in pended home sales and homes are selling more quickly compared to this time last year, according to data from the F.C. Tucker Company.

The press release states that homes in Hancock County sold in 25 days, or 32.5% faster than this time last year. Pended home sales increased 8.1% compared to this time last year. Available housing inventory decreased 1.3% and the average home sale price decreased 0.7% to $329,160.

Homes are selling quickly across the entire central Indiana region, at 14.3% faster than this time last year across 16 counties. Compared to April 2023, the average home sale price increased 3.5% to $342,299 across the region.
