Augusta P. “Gus” (Foury) Keeler, 84, of McCordsville, passed away on April 5, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1939, in Ranger, Indiana to William and Mary (Flamion) Foury.
Augusta attended Scecina High School. She worked for 30 years as a traffic clerk for the School Book Distribution Warehouse, retiring in 1996. She loved being outside, mowing the lawn and planting flowers. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and Westerns.
Augusta is survived by her daughters Tambra (Mark) Bauchert of Greenfield and Karen (Ron) Escue of Greenfield; grandchildren Kyle (BJ) Lanham, Alicia (Jeff) Escue-Cox, Ashley (Travis) Jones, Michael (Shelby) Bauchert and Matthew Bauchert and great-grandchildren Brayden, Isaiah, Kingston, Aubrey, Skylar, Connor, Benji and William. She is preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Keeler Lanham; sisters Irene Hemingway and Rosanna Stewart; and brother Carol Foury.
A funeral service to celebrate Augusta’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. Memorial contributions may be to the American Lung Association.
