HANCOCK COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor E&B Paving announces a road closure and speed restriction on Ind. 9 near Maxwell.
Beginning on or after Friday, April 12 crews will reduce the speed on Ind. 9 to 45 mph between CR 300N. and CR 400N. Crews will close the eastbound lane of CR 300N. This closure will allow crews to complete intersection improvements at Ind. 9 and CR 300N. This work is expected to be complete late June, weather permitting.
The official detour for this project is CR N 50E to CR 500N to CR 400E.
INDOT reminds drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using caution and avoiding distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
