Hood to perform at HCPL
GREENFIELD – Darry Hood and his one-man show performs in April at the Hancock County Public Library.
Hood taught science for 42 years at Eastern Hancock schools and was front man for Dr. Rock and the Rollers. He is also a stand-up coming, musician, magician and singer-songwriter.
The free event will be at 6:30 p.m. April 3 at the central library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. Register or learn more at hcplibrary.org.
Children’s choir to perform eclipse-themed show
GREENFIELD – Experience “From Darkness to Light” in the Hancock County Children’s Choir spring production.
Show times are 2:30 and 7 p.m. April 6 at Realife Church, 5151 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield The show will explore the literal meaning of the eclipse through fun and contemplative pieces about the sun and the moon, darkness and light. The choir will expand upon the theme to explore the figurative meaning of darkness (sadness or adversity) and light (joy and healing).

Comedy show to benefit Blue Angel Connect
GREENFIELD – A comedy night is coming to the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, benefiting a local organization.
Blue Angel Connect presents “Night of Jokers” at 4 p.m. May 11 at the downtown venue, 122 W. Main St., Greenfield. Doors open at 3 p.m. for pictures, drinks and merchandise. The event features comedians Rik Roberts, as seen on dry Bar Comedy and School of Laughs podcast; Dave Dugan, as seen on HBO, Comedy Central, Fox and “The Bob and Tom Show;” and Dave Wilson, as heard on WIBC and “The Bob and Tom Show.” Tickets start at $30 at ontaptickets.com.

Big band, swing concert coming to HCPL
GREENFIELD – The Racoon Lake Sax Quartet will pay tribute to the big band and swing eras in an upcoming free concert.
The quartet will perform at 6:30 p.m. March 25 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield.
The group will feature many popular songwriters and chart-topping songs of the era, and also provide facts, trivia and other background information at the all-ages event. Register at hcplibrary.org or call 317-462-5141.
KidsPlay to perform spring show
GREENFIELD – Tickets are available now for the upcoming children’s theater production of “The Doctor Is In” by KidsPlay Inc.
Performances are at 7 p.m. April 19 and April 20; and 2 p.m. April 21 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts in downtown Greenfield.
