NEW PALESTINE — Sophomore Lynzie Stiller will represent the New Palestine High School gymnastics team at Saturday’s IHSAA Gymnastics State Finals at Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie.
It is her second straight year to qualify for the state meet.
Stiller will participate as an all-around gymnast, competing on the balance beam, uneven parallel bars, vault and floor exercise.
A two-time sectional all-around champion, Stiller placed sixth with a total score of 35.25 at last week’s Franklin Central Regional. She tied for seventh on vault (8.9), tied for eighth on floor (9.45), and finished ninth on beam (8.6) and bars (8.3).
At last year’s state finals, Stiller competed in three of four events. She was 18th on floor (9.025), 22nd on bars (8.325) and 40th on vault (8.7).
State finals competition begins at 11:30 a.m. Arena doors open at 10 a.m., with the opening ceremonies starting at 11 a.m.

Fans attending should present their purchase verification on their mobile phone at the gate for admission. Cost is $15 per person. Children age 5 and younger will be admitted free of charge. All seats are general admission. Entrance to the facility will be through Gate 1 on the northeast side of the arena.
