GREENFIELD
Lelah Faye (Ison) Williams, age 82, formerly of Richmond, passed away February 26, 2024, at Springhurst Health Campus. She was born in Kona, Kentucky to Anzil and Cinda (Combs) Ison on September 19,1941. She graduated from Whitesburg High School. She married Robert Lee Williams in New Point, Indiana.She worked for Montgomery Wards as an assistant store manager, she later worked for Jan’s Hallmark as a store manager and lastly, her final position was at Wooden Key Hallmark as a store manager. Lelah loved to go see country music performers in little Nashville. She also greatly enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Eversole (Alan Jung); sister, Louise Thomas; grandchildren, Nathan Dumford (Sheila) and Alexis Blake (Christopher); 3 great-grandsons’, Finley, Kale and Trace; 1 great-granddaughter, Phoebe; and 2 nephews, Ronny and Jeffrey Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anzil and Cinda (Combs) Ison; husband, Robert Lee Williams; sister, RosaLee Ison; 2 nephews, Daniel and Lanny Thomas; and brother-in-law, Benny Thomas Jr.Visitation will be held on March 1, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Vice will be officiating. Burial will follow at Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Alzheimer’s Association at 50 91st Street #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
