GREENFIELD
Charlotte A. Harmon, 80, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 following a brief illness. She was born December 6, 1943 in Washington, IN, a daughter of the late Fred Leander and Erma Bell (Riker) Davis.She graduated from Washington High school in Washington, Indiana, and worked at the Hancock County Courthouse for many years. She enjoyed crafting, painting, and eating out, especially at Carol’s Cornerstone Restaurant in Greenfield.Charlotte also enjoyed watching Westerns and often read the Bible and loved to watch Rev. Charles Stanley and Facebook with friends.She is survived by her son, Rodney Harmon (Carol) of Wilkinson; Stacy (Tony) Helsley of Greenfield, whom she thought of as a daughter, and their children, Alexa and Dylan Helsley who called her grandma; a sister, Norma (Jim) Traylor of Bloomington; sister-in-law, Marie Inglert of Greencastle; several nieces and nephews, and a lifelong friend, Vicki Rice of Greenfield.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Harmon, Jr.; brothers, Arnold “Gus” Davis and Darryl Davis.Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday. Charlotte’s family encourages casual dress for the visitation and funeral service.
