In Loving Memory of Evan Sutherlin 33, of Mt. Comfort, Indiana, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on March 4th, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to David and Laurie (Stephens) Sutherlin. He was a 2008 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School.Evan was known for his love of music, and was admired across states for his talented guitar playing. Not only did his huge heart spill over into his music, it was most evident when he selflessly donated one of his kidneys to a lifelong friend in 2012.Evan also enjoyed Weight lifting, skateboarding, and video gaming.Evan will be eternally loved and missed by so many. His kind heart will continue to touch us all through the ages of time. And although he left us too soon, his memory will live on in our hearts.Evan is survived by his parents, Laurie Stephens, of Indianapolis, and David Sutherlin, of Greenfield. His Uncle Guy Stephens, of Indianapolis, and his brother and sister, April Haswell (Sankey) of New Castle, Pa., and Andrew Sankey of Beaver Falls, Pa., his nieces and nephew, Isla, Hannah, and Weston. He is also survived by his brother and sister Dana and Denton Sutherlin, Uncles Dennis (Kelley) Sutherlin, Gregg (Kathy) Sutherlin, and cousins Ryan, Tanner, Leah, Theresa, and Bethany. Evan is also survived by his Grandmother, Mary Ellen Sutherlin.Evan is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Paul MonroeStephens,Linda Lansdell, and Richard (Dick) Sutherlin. His Uncle Matthew Stephens, and Great Grandparents Wilbur and Irene Stephens, and Jack and Annie Dixon.Donations can be made to Honor Evan at AFSP, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.Memorial Services to be announced at a later date.
