MARTINSVILLE — Greenfield-Central’s boys basketball team tied the school record for victories in a single season — set last year — and extended their record winning streak to 21 games with a 80-60 victory over Martinsville at John R. Wooden Gymnasium Saturday.

The Cougars are 21-0 on the season, with just one regular-season game remaining, a home game, and Senior Night, against Perry Meridian Wednesday. The 2022-23 Cougars finished 21-2.

Greenfield-Central has won 39 consecutive regular-season games.

Against the Artesians, the Cougars scored a season-best 80 points. It was the most since an 87-point performance in an 87-44 victory at Indianapolis Shortridge on Jan. 17, 2023.

Braylon Mullins had four of the Cougars eight 3-point field goals and led all G-C scorers with 24 points. He also had seven steals.
