MORRISTOWN — New Palestine’s Lynzie Stiller won three events and the all-around competition to lead New Palestine’s gymnastics team to victory over Morristown and Fishers Thursday at Morristown High School.
The Dragons scored 98.15 points. Morristown had 75.2. Fishers did not have a full team and finished with 13.925.
Stiller won the uneven bars (8.45), vault (8.65), and floor exercise (9.025) and had an all-around score of 34.475.
New Palestine had 1-2 finishes on both bars and floor. Chiara Polo was second on bars with a score 7.275. She was third on vault (8.2). Olivia Frank was second on floor (8.625).
Morristown’s Remi Spicklemire won the balance beam with a score of 8.575, the Dragons followed with places second through sixth. Polo was the top Dragon on beam with a score of 8.425.
Polo was also second in the all-around with a total of 31.9, ahead of both Spicklemire (31.675) and Frank (31.275).
New Palestine’s top score came on the floor exercise with a total of 25.675. The Dragons scored 24.95 on both beam and vault.
New Palestine returns to action against Shelbyville Tuesday at The Gymnastics Company.
