Elementary art exhibit this month

GREENFIELD – Young artists will showcase their works in an exhibit at the Twenty North Gallery this month in downtown Greenfield.

The Hancock County Elementary School Art Exhibit will be on display through Feb. 24 at 20 N. State St., Greenfield.

Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays. Learn more at hancockcountyarts.org.

Eclipse educational event Feb. 20

GREENFIELD – Prepare for the upcoming total solar eclipse with a presentation from Rick Galloway of the Indiana Astronomical Society.

Galloway wll speak at the Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 in an all-ages event on eclipses in history, how to prepare for the big day and how to safely view an eclipse. The presentation will include a question-and-answer session, and free solar eclipse viewing glasses will be available to attendees.

FUSE to host casino fundraiser

GREENFIELD – Families United for Support and Encouragement will host its Casino Night fundraiser Feb. 23.

The event will feature a pasta dinner, games such as roulette, black jack, craps, Texas Hold ‘Em; prizes and raffles. Tickets are $50; purchase by Feb. 1 and save $5. Participants must be at least 21 years old. The fundraiser will be at Adaggios, 5999 W. Memory Lane, Greenfield.

Youth tiny art show coming up

NEW PALESTINE – View tiny works of art at a community event in New Palestine Feb. 24.

The Sugar Creek branch of the Hancock County Public Library is hosting a Tiny Art Show, featuring pieces by local children and teens.

To participate in the show, drop off pieces no later than Feb. 21. The show is open to paint, clay and more; canvases must be no more than 5 by 5 inches.

The show can be viewed from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 24 at 5731 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine.
