GREENFIELD
Patricia A. Haynes, 84, of Greenfield passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born January 12, 1940 in Middletown, OH the daughter of Roy and Helen (Sorrell) Welsh.Pat was a 1958 graduate of Spiceland High School; she attended the University of Hawaii and graduated with a degree in Nursing. Pat was a very strong independent woman raising her children while her husband was serving in the U.S. Navy, living in many locations around the United States until settling in Greenfield. She retired as Director of Nursing and ER at Hancock Regional Hospital after over 20 years of service. Family was a big part of Pat’s life and she enjoyed playing cards and games with them. She attended Park Chapel Christian Church.Pat’s memory will be cherished by her children, Leigh Ann Hoffacker and Scott (Sherry) Haynes; grandchildren, Carlin Hoffacker, Kim (Tim) Sassone, Amy Haynes, Luke Haynes, Emily (Nathanel) Curtis; great grandchild, Lucy Sassone; siblings, Nancy (Terry) Mason, Mike Welsh, Barry Welsh, and several nieces and nephews, and beloved dog, Toby.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Haynes; and sister, Donna Miller.Services will be at 1 PM Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor David Woods officiating.
