Gift of Life event Feb. 24
GREENFIELD – Tickets are available now for the 25th annual Gift of Life Dinner and Auction, hosted by Rotary Club of Greenfield.
The event is set for Feb. 24 at the Community Life Center, 10612 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. The event is a milestone as the Rotary Club of Greenfield marks 25 years of being at the forefront of providing life-saving heart surgeries to children across the globe.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for cocktail hour.

Wine tasting fundraiser Feb. 10
GREENFIELD – A local club is encouraging you to “pour your heart out” in an upcoming wine event.
The Tri Kappa Wine Tasting Event is 4-7 p.m. Feb. 10 at The Lodge at Nameless Creek Camp in Greenfield.
All proceeds go toward the club’s mission of assisting local agencies in charity, culture and education. The group supports the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, Hancock Hope House, Boys and Girls Club of Hancock County, The Landing, Imagination Library and more.
The event will include hors d’oeuvres, a wine pull, entertainment by local saxophonist Jerry Bell. Cost is $50 for five wine tastings, or $25 for a designated driver ticket.

Psi Iota Xi to award scholarship
GREENFIELD – The Upsilon chapter of Psi Iota Xi is accepting applications for its annual scholarship award.
The scholarship is $1,000, with $500 awarded upon receipt and a second $500 installment awarded upon successful completion of the fall semester with at least a 2.0 GPA. The deadline to apply is April 5.
Applicants may be graduating students of Eastern Hancock, Greenfield-Central, or New Palestine high schools or current college students with a permanent residence in Hancock County. Applicants must also be pursuing or planning to pursue a four-year degree in the areas of art, literature, music, or speech and hearing. Selection criteria will be based upon strength of application, essay, and a personal interview with members of the Upsilon chapter of Psi Iota Xi.

Rabbit club hosts meeting
GREENFIELD – The Hancock County 4-H Rabbit Club hosted its first meeting of the year on Jan. 29.
Officers this year are Devon Kelly, president; Kenzie Kleinman, vice president; Evelyn Hobbs and Hannah Royster, secretary/reporter. The club played an ice breaker game, reviewed rules, discussed information on purchasing a 4-H rabbit, and reviewed upcoming meeting dates.
The club’s next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. March 5 at Hancock County Fairgrounds.
Rotary Club to host community open house
GREENFIELD – The Rotary Club of Greenfield will host a community open house in March with college basketball, food and fellowship.
The free event, scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. March 21, will be at the Thrive Center, 971 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. The event, sponsored by Shepherd Insurance, is designed to bring together people from all walks of life to celebrate community spirit and foster connections. Attendees will be able to watch college basketball, enjoy food and drinks in a family-friendly environment. People can also learn about the Rotary Club of Greenfield’s various community initiatives and how to get involved.
