GREENFIELD
Darlene Clark, 86, of Greenfield, passed away January 29, 2024. She was born January 23, 1938 in Indianapolis to James B. and Kathryn R. Waid. Darlene was a graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School. She received her associate degree from New River Valley Community College. Darlene married Robert E. Clark, and he preceded her in death June 11, 2016 after 60 years of marriage. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Sheet Metal Workers Union #503 for 10 years and retired from Lucent Technologies after many years. Darlene enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family, and visiting the horse track. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street. Darlene is survived by her daughters, Denise Rumple (Steve) and Valerie Clark; granddaughter, Stephanie Rumple; and many nieces and nephews.
