GREENFIELD
Jimmy Lou (Shannon) Stuart, age 80, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on October 3, 1943, to James and Brady (Jennings) Shannon. She graduated from Fortville High School. She attended classes at Indiana University and Western Kentucky University. Jimmy married Kenneth Paul Stuart. She worked for Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for many years. In June of 1998, Jimmy retired from IU Health Bloomington Hospital BCB, where she was a special events coordinator. Jimmy was a member of Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield and Simpson Chapel Church in Bloomington. She was active with the Purdue Extension in Monroe County and Hancock County. She enjoyed IU basketball and football, watching baseball, and spending time doing arts and crafts such as painting and knitting. Jimmy loved bird watching and spending time with her dog, Lucky. She most of all cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and family.
Jimmy is survived by her two sons, Sam (Joyce) Kramer and Paul (Lisa) Kramer; five grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James T. Shannon; mother, Brady Shannon; husband, Kenneth Paul Stuart; and brothers, Joe T. Shannon and Robert C. Shannon. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A memorial service for Jimmy and her late husband, Kenneth will take place following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Hancock County Humane Society, 214 E.
