Prom dress giveaway in February

GREENFIELD – Once Upon a Prom Dress will be Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.

The prom dress giveaway is open to any high school student, regardless of financial status. School ID or proof of enrollment is required. Each student is eligible to receive one free formal dress, accessory item and pair of shoes.

The event is 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 3 by appointment only, then noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 3 for open shopping. The event is also open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 for open shopping. The event is at Overlook at Briney Creek, 687 S. 400E., Greenfield.

To donate a new or gently used formal dress or jewelry, visit the Jane Pauley Community Health Center, 1107 N. State St., Greenfield, or Wilkinson Insurance Agency, 182 S. Main St., Wilkinson. Shoes may be donated to Changing Footprints, 1001 W. Main St., Greenfield.

FUSE to host casino fundraiser

GREENFIELD – Families United for Support and Encouragement will host its Casino Night fundraiser Feb. 23.

The event will feature a pasta dinner, games such as roulette, black jack, craps, Texas Hold ‘Em; prizes and raffles. Tickets are $50; purchase by Feb. 1 and save $5. Participants must be at least 21 years old. The fundraiser will be at Adaggios, 5999 W. Memory Lane, Greenfield.

Hancock County Arts announces 2024 shows

GREENFIELD – Hancock County Arts has announced plans for winter and spring exhibits in downtown Greenfield.

“Four Members Together” is the exhibition this month, which runs through Jan. 27 at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. State St., Greenfield. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Student art will be featured in February and March. An eclipse-themed fiber exhibit is slated for April. Photography from local members will be on display in May.

Arts, rummage sale coming up Feb. 24

GREENFIELD – The annual Arts & Rummage Sale is coming up Feb. 24, raising money for a local organization and providing entertainment throughout the day.The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 620 N. Apple St., Greenfield. Admission is 41; children 12 and under get in free. Booth space is available for $50 by emailing [email protected]. Lunch and snack foods are available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit KidsPlay Inc., a nonprofit children’s theater organization that produces two plays a year.
