KNIGHTSTOWN
Clyde (Pete) J Buckley 90, of Knightstown, IN. Passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 9th 2024 at IU Methodist Hospital. He was born on May 61933 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to the late Arthur & Lyda (Marshall) Buckley.
He is survived by his children Donna (Dave) Phillips, Cheryl (Dave) Smith, Clyde (Kathy) Buckley, Phillip (Kristy) Buckley, Lisa (Terry) Frost, Aaron (Karrie) Buckley, Jennifer (James) Johnston, Jonathan (Jessica) Buckley . Also 19 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife Patricia of 73 yrs, a grandson Jesse Frost, son-in-law Dave Smith and Siblings: Harlen Buckley, James Buckley, Mildred Finch, and Wendell Buckley.
He grew up in Flemingsburg, KY until the mid 40’s and then moved to Knightstown, IN which is where he met and married Patricia Renfro on July 10, 1950.
He started working in construction and moving houses at a young age eventually starting his own business, Buckley Construction. In 1965 he started working at Chrysler Corporation from where he retired in 2003. He enjoyed staying busy outdoors on building projects & gardening. He also loved sharing Bible truths and his hope for the future. He was a baptized member of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he served as an elder for many years.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday Jan. 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Dick Webtser officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 288 N Pleasantview Dr., New Castle, IN.
