PENDLETON
Florence Ann Lawson, 85, of Pendleton, passed away on January 4, 2024. Florence was born on July 22, 1938 in Anderson, IN to the late Charles and Marie (Taufner) Dillenbeck. She was married to Lindy K. Lawson for 54 years before his passing in 2016. After graduating from Pendleton High School, she attended and graduated from St. Johns Holy Cross Nursing School with her associate degree. Florence practiced as a registered nurse from 1959 until 1995. In Pendleton she worked with both Dr. McLaughlin and Dr. Begley. She continued her nursing career in Bloomington for Dr. Ratz until she retired in 1995. Florence found her spiritual home at Harrodsburg United Methodist Church and Pendleton United Methodist Church and was a faithful member for many years. She was an active member in the bible study group through both churches and at Fall Creek Retirement Village. Florence enjoyed her time as a Red Hat Society member and was extremely active in this group. She loved living and working on her farm in Harrodsburg, this is where she enjoyed gardening and watching her hummingbirds.
Florence will be dearly missed by her nephews, John (Susie) Jameson, Bob (Jama) Jameson, Steve (Lou Ann) Jameson, Larry (Jane) Lawson, Jay (Brenda) Jarrett, Dean Jarrett, and Dale (Connie) Jarrett; nieces, Peggy (Joe) Kines and Sue (Dennis) Fuller; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lindy; and sisters, Audrey Wolf and Dorothy Jarrett.
