Outscored 21-8 in the third quarter, New Palestine’s girls basketball team was unable to bounce back in a 57-49 loss at Bloomington North Thursday.
The Dragons led 14-10 after the opening quarter and took a 21-17 advantage into halftime.
Allie Blum led New Palestine scorers with 19 points. Vivian Miller added 13 and Kenna Tweedy scored eight.
New Palestine (8-9) is back in action Tuesday with a home game against Triton Central (13-3).
Bloomington North (12-5) travels to Terre Haute South (2-16) Saturday.
Mt. Vernon wins low-scoring game
Mt. Vernon’s girls basketball team won for the second straight time, defeating host East Central 27-18 Thursday.
The Marauders (6-11) travel to Noblesville (9-7) Tuesday. East Central (6-11) is at Rushville (6-11) Saturday.
