CHARLOTTESVILLE — While there were plenty of holiday parties and winter-themed learning projects in the final week before school let out for winter break, there were also special science and engineering building projects that wrapped up.
Eastern Hancock Middle School sixth graders, for example, built marble roller coasters with cardstock and eighth graders completed simple machines with Rube Goldberg projects.
