FUSE to host casino fundraiser

GREENFIELD – Families United for Support and Encouragement will host its Casino Night fundraiser Feb. 23.

The event will feature a pasta dinner, games such as roulette, black jack, craps, Texas Hold ‘Em, prizes and raffles. Tickets are $50; purchase by Feb. 1 and save $5. Participants must be at least 21 years old. The fundraiser will be at Adaggios, 5999 W. Memory Lane, Greenfield.

Children’s choir open to new members

HANCOCK COUNTY – The Hancock County Children’s Choir will accept new members in January.

Openings are available in all ensembles for children ages 5-18 for the spring semester. The group rehearses Monday afternoons at Mount Comfort Church; a concert will be April 6.

Assessments begin Jan. 8 and there is a $10 fee for the assessment. For more information, visit hancockcountychildrenschoir.org.

Art classes coming for adults, children

GREENFIELD – Classes are available for both children and adults in January through Greenfield Parks and Recreation Art Studio.

A three-part mixed-media course is available for children in grades kindergarten through sixth. Classes are 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 3, 10 and 17.

Pet-loving adults can sign up for “DIY Watercolor Pet Portraits” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Beginners will be guided through painting simple watercolor flowers and creating a personalized silhouette of their own pet on wood grain paper. No experience required; all materials provided.

Classes are in the lower level of the Patricia Elmore Center in Riley Park, 280 N. Apple St., Greenfield. Register at parks.greenfieldin.org.

Mobile blood drives coming up

HANCOCK COUNTY – Several mobile blood drives are coming up across Hancock County during the first few weeks of January.

Hancock Regional Hospital will host a mobile drive Jan. 5, Rotary Club of Greenfield will host a drive at Greenfield Christian Church on North East Street Jan. 11, Greenfield-Central High School’s drive is Jan. 16, Hancock Wellness Center in Greenfield Jan. 18 and Greenfield Banking Company’s headquarters on North State Street will host a drive Jan. 18.
