Children’s art classes in January

GREENFIELD – A children’s art course is coming up in January.

Greenfield Parks and Recreation Art Studio has announced a three-part mixed-media course for children in grades kindergarten through sixth. Classes are 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 3, 10 and 17 in the lower level of the Patricia Elmore Center in Riley Park. Register at parks.greenfieldin.org.

Parks to host New Years hike

GREENFIELD – Take a New Year’s Day hike with Greenfield Parks and Recreation.

The city department is hosting a free hike at Thornwood Nature Preserve at 1 p.m. Jan. 1. Register at parks.greenfieldin.org.

Business workshops offered for people 50+

WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue University will host a series of workshops to help people ages 50 and older discover entrepreneurial skills.

“Experience Incubator” workshops will be offered via Zoom meetings Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in February 2024. Topics include branding, finance, business plans and more. Register by Jan. 30 at https://cvent.me/3wba1l. Cost is $99.
