‘Christmas Carol’ adaptation takes stage

INDIANAPOLIS — “A Christmas Carol” is a beloved story of the season. An area church’s adaptation is familiar in its characters yet different in its message.

“Scrooge needs more than an outward change,” according to a press release from Burge Terrace Baptist Church. “He needs a true transformation of the heart that will make an eternal difference.”

The production opened Friday, and another performance is set for 7 p.m. today at the church, 9345 Brookville Road. Doors open at 6:30, and admission is free.
