GREENFIELD
Michael Anthony Collins, 56, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2023, while vacationing in South Lake Tahoe, California with his siblings. He was born on May 30, 1967, in Akron, Ohio to Ronald &Mary (Fouts) Collins. Michael graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 1985. He proudly served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1985-1992.
Michael is survived by his children, Gabriel (Carissa) Collins of Nashville, TN; Reagan Collins of Denver, CO; parents, Ronald and Mary Collins of Greenfield; brother, Ronald Collins of Akron, OH; sisters, Patricia (Tim) Maloney of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; and Debra Ekmark of Fort Myers, FL.
Michael will be fondly remembered by his friends and family for his passions including fishing, hiking, trying new foods, and being the comic relief in any situation. The man had an unbridled curiosity for anything and everything; constantly watching, reading, and wandering around new and old places.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US HWY 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 1:00pm. Inurnment will immediately follow at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
