Homemakers gauging interest on leadership program

GREENFIELD – Local extension homemakers are gauging interest on a new leadership program.

I-LEaD (Indiana Leadership, Education and Development) is a program of the Indiana Extension Homemakers Association, designed to grow the confidence and leadership skills of members. Those who would like to learn more should contact Debbi Green, [email protected] or call 317-249-0781.

Farm conference coming up

GREENFIELD – Purdue Extension Hancock County will host a conference Dec. 1.

Topics include broadband mapping and resources; pesticides; agronomic management; and railroad tracks/utility wires. The event is 9:45 a.m. to noon Dec. 1 at NineStar Connect, 2243 E. Homemakers to host Christmas party

GREENFIELD – A Favorite Things Christmas Dinner and Party is scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 7, hosted by Hancock County Extension Homemakers.

The club is encouraging participants to bring a trio of favorite things to the party, and the gifts will be exchanged at the meeting.

Cost for the dinner is $20 per person and reservations are due by Nov. 26 to Tracy Elsbury at 219-707-1685 or [email protected]. No reservations are made without payment; checks should be made out to Hancock County Extension Homemakers, and mailed to 7393 N. 2000 E., Wilkinson, IN 46186.
