Justin Proctor

GBC Bank hires new COO

Greenfield – GBC Bank welcomes Justin R. Proctor as senior vice president and chief operating officer of the company.

Proctor has spent the previous five years as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Bath State Bank, located in Bath, Ind.

Proctor’s previous work experience includes two years at Ernst & Young LLP in Indianapolis and six years of bank consulting with BKD CPAs & Advisors in Indianapolis. While at BKD, Justin’s primary focus was external audits, internal audits, and trust department audits for public and private banking institutions throughout the Midwest. Proctor had been employed by Bath State Bank since July of 2018 and was elected to the board of directors of Bath State Bank in July of 2019. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in August 2020.

Proctor is a graduate of Ball State University where he obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting through the Miller College of Business. He is a Certified Fiduciary & Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) which he obtained after completing a three-year course program in 2015 through the Cannon Financial Institute at the University of Notre Dame. Proctor also started studying at the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis. in 2022 and is currently starting his junior year course work.

Car wash fundraiser for EH Europe trip

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Eastern Hancock students are raising money for a spring break trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2024.

Snowflake Princess, Jack Frost forms due

FORTVILLE – Registration for the annual Snowflake Princess and Jack Frost event is open now through Nov. 13.

The children’s event is for Fortville Winterfest, which will be from noon to 7 p.m. Dec. 2. Participants will be in the parade, perform a short dance routine on the main stage shortly after the parade and get their pictures taken with Santa. All participants will receive a tutu or cape, sash, wand and crown. Participants must be pre-K through fifth grade.

Humane society partners with cat cafe

FISHERS – Cats from the Hancock County Humane Society have found a temporary new home.
