Mt. Lebanon plans barbecue meal

GREENFIELD — Mt. Lebanon Community Church will serve a pulled pork barbecue meal from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 14 at the church, 3447 S. State Road 9.

The mean features a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, green beans, scalloped potatoes, slaw, assorted desserts and drinks.

Donations will be accepted and used for mission projects.

Find Christian music at Riley Festival

GREENFIELD — Stop by the Riley Festival Entertainment Tent on West Main Street at the Living Alley for some Christian music.

Singers from Apostolic Pentecostal Church will share music starting at noon Sunday.

At 1 p.m., 4 The Light Quartet will share gospel music.

5K supports fight against sex trafficking

GEM — The 5K Freedom Challenge takes off at 4:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 7) at Realife Church, 5151 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield.

The church is partnering with Project Rescue, an organization that works to free women from sex trafficking. Project Rescue has a group of donors who’ve agreed to donate $1 for each mile run or walked by each person. Learn more at https://projectrescue.com/freedomchallenge.

The 5K starts in the south parking lot of the church, follows a loop on the Pennsy Trail and leads back to the church. Afterward, food trucks, games and more will be set up in the parking lot.

Greenfield Faith plans Fall Festival

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Faith Church’s Fall Festival is set for 3-7 p.m. Oct. 14 at the church, 328 N. Swope St. There will be free food, games and a showing of the movie “Because of Winn-Dixie.”

Curry’s Chapel to show film

GREENFIELD — Curry’s Chapel Church will show the movie “Left Behind II: Tribulation Force” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the church, 3488 N. County Road 375E.

Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. The film is part of the church’s monthly “Movies with a Point” series.

Oktoberfest party raises funds for youth trip

NEW PALESTINE — Cross of Grace Lutheran Church plans a German-themed Oktoberfest party from 5-11 p.m. Oct. 29, timed to connect with celebration of the Reformation. It will feature some fundraisers for a 2024 youth trip to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s National Youth Gathering. Raffles and a cornhole tournament are planned.

Greenfield Christian plans Riley Festival boutique

GREENFIELD — A Bake Sale and Boutique during the Riley Festival continues Saturday (Oct. 7) at Greenfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 23 N. East St.

The Boutique offers a wide variety of home goods, gifts, furniture, appliances, jewelry and many other unique items. Homemade pies, cakes, cookies, snacks and treats will be available at the bake sale.

New this year is a coffee and snack bar so visitors may enjoy a piece of pie, cake, or cookie with some coffee as they relax and browse the Boutique and Bake Sale.

Go to Sunday School, receive a toy

GREENFIELD — Apostolic Pentecostal Church will have a Giving Sunday, featuring a toy giveaway that starts at 10 a.m. Oct. 15. A free toy will be given to every child who attends Sunday School that morning, while supplies last. The church is located at 1202 E. Fifth St.

Chicken noodle dinner is Oct. 21

GREENFIELD — The Ladies’ Club of Curry’s Chapel Church will have a chicken and noodles dinner from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 21. The church is located at 3488 N. County Road 375E.

Chicken sandwich drive-thru open

MT. COMFORT — Chick-fil-A lunches are available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays (or while supplies last) at Mt. Comfort Church’s Mt. Comfort Campus, 3179 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield.

Each lunch costs $10 and includes a Chick-fil-A sandwich, bag of chips, cookie and a drink.

All proceeds go to help support Our Lady of the Apostles Family Retreat Center (2884 N. County Road 700W, Greenfield) and Mt. Comfort Church.
