Greenfield-Central finished its regular season on a high note with a 3-0 volleyball victory at Triton Central Thursday.
The Cougars will take a 22-7 record into next week’s Pendleton Heights Sectional.
On Thursday, G-C won by set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-17. Triton Central dropped to 17-9.
Greenfield-Central opens sectional play Tuesday in the 7:30 p.m. match against Mt. Vernon.
Royals fall on the road
Eastern Hancock’s volleyball team lost its final regular season match at Lapel Thursday.
The Royals lost 3-0 by set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.
Eastern Hancock finishes the regular season with a 19-8 record. Lapel is 21-7.
The Royals will play Saturday at 11 a.m. in a semifinal game of the Triton Central Sectional against Riverside (0-6).
