Benefit rock concert Friday

GREENFIELD – A benefit rock show is coming up Sept. 22 in downtown Greenfield.

Revel for a Cause will feature three bands from 6-10 p.m. Sept. 22 at Depot Street Park. The inaugural event will include The Native Howl, The Gasoline Gypsies and Mercury’s Muse. There will also be kids activities, including a bubble station, street performers, face painters, a caricaturist and balloon artist.

While the concert is free, there will be opportunities to donate to two local nonprofits: the Talitha Koum recovery house and The Landing, which offers recovery support for teens and adults.

Line dance event Saturday

NEW PALESTINE – All ages are welcome to celebrate the start of harvest season in an afternoon of line dancing at the Sugar Creek branch of the Hancock County Public Library.

“Line Dance on the Lawn” is scheduled for 2 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 23 at 5731 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine. Jeff Smilko will give instruction at the free event, which will take place on the south lawn but will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. Register at hcplibrary.org.

Prince tribute concert Saturday

GREENFIELD – A Prince tribute band will perform in downtown Greenfield this Saturday.

The Prince Project: Prince and The Revolution Tribute Band will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 23 at Depot Street Park, with opening act Andrew Young at 6 p.m. The free concert is at Depot Street Park, 251 Depot St., Greenfield.

Yacht rock party band performs Saturday

NEW PALESTINE – The Nauti Yachtys will perform a free concert in New Palestine this weekend.

The “yacht rock party” band with hits from Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, Gerry Rafferty and more will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at 11 E. Main St., New Palestine as part of the Music on Depot series.

Grape stomp event planned at vineyard

MCCORDSVILLE – Daniel’s Vineyard invites you to “get your Lucy on” in its annual Grape Stomp event.

The vineyard will host the event from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24 at 9061 N. 700W., McCordsville. Tickets are free but should be reserved online at danielsvineyard.com.
