HANCOCK COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E & B Paving announced in a press release that crews will close both directions of traffic on Ind. 9 near Pendleton, between Ind. 234 and U.S. 36 beginning on or after Friday, Sept. 8. During the closure, crews will complete patching and paving operations. Work is expected to be complete mid October, weather permitting.
The official detour during this project is Ind. 234 to Ind. 109 to U.S. 36.
INDOT reminds drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down and driving distraction-free when traveling in or near work zones. Work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
