GREENFIELD
Vivian Iona (Snider) Walker, age 94, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her home. Born on July 3, 1929, in McCordsville, she was the daughter of Earl Franklin Snider and Daisy Carmen (Wilson) Snider. She attended Eden High School and worked at Hancock County Memorial Hospital as a surgery technician for 17 years. On December 2, 1946, Vivian married her love, William “Bill” Clyde Walker.
She devoted her life to her family and gave of herself to them and friends. For many years, she was a member of the Riley Wranglers, where she loved square dancing with friends. Vivian enjoyed playing Euchre, doing arts &crafts and making handmade cards.
Vivian is survived by her loving children, Kenneth of Anderson, Byron of Indianapolis, Joyce of Pendleton, Marilyn of Greenfield and Amy of Greenfield; grandchildren, Brian, Joe, Andrea, Wendy, Aaron and Zacharia; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; sisters, June of Mt. Summit, IN and Jean of TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl &Daisy; husband, Bill; sisters, Katherine, Mary, Beulah, Awilda, Caroline, Judy, Ann and 2 infant siblings.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A private family graveside service will take place at Park Cemetery on a later date.
