Dining fundraiser Love INC Friday

GREENFIELD – A Dine to Donate event coming up will benefit Love INC of Greater Hancock County.

The event is 4-8 p.m. July 21 at Arby’s in Greenfield; 15% of proceeds benefit the organization.

Fundraiser applications due for Steak ‘n Bake event

GREENFIELD – Local nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply to benefit from the upcoming Steak ‘n Bake ‘n Raffle.

The Rotary Club of Greenfield is hosting the event Sept 30; last year, more than $69,000 was raised for nine Hancock County organizations.

To apply, send a one-page summary of the nonprofit’s mission statement, vision, impact and number of people served annually; the 501(c)3 letter; and the most recent year’s financials to [email protected] no later than July 28. Each nonprofit will be invited to give their elevator speech at the Rotary meeting Aug. 17; the top 15 nonprofits will be accepted. If fewer than 15 apply, all will be accepted. Mittman to co-chair air show

GREENFIELD – New Palestine resident Jeff Mittman was named one of five co-chairs to oversee planning efforts for the Crossroads Air Show, scheduled for Oct. 28-29 at the Indianapolis Regional Airport.

Mittman is president and CEO of Bosma Enterprises. Other co-chairs recently announced include Keith Berlen, senior director of operations and public safety of the Indianapolis Airport Authority; Ashley Gomez, chief pilot of Republic Airways; Charlie Hiltunen, chief executive officer for The Third House Advocacy Group and president and chief development officer of Sextons Creek Productions; and Shannon Williams, executive vice president of The Mind Trust.

Tickets are available now for an air show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels coming to Hancock County this fall. Parking and admission tickets can be purchased online. Funds from the Crossroad Air Show will support central Indiana scouting groups and Riley Children’s Foundation.

Single-day admission tickets range from $10 for general admission to $1,600 for a table of eight at the Flight Line Club. Photo tours can be purchased as an add-on for $25. General admission is free for youth cub scouts and children ages 5 and under.

Single-day parking passes are required to attend the air show and are not included with an admission ticket. A standard parking pass is $150, motorcycle parking is $50 and bus parking is $500.

Luncheon to boost interest in fundraiser

GREENFIELD – A local luncheon this week is designed to garner interest in a fall fundraiser event.

The Branded Exchange will host a kick-off luncheon for the upcoming Fashion and Flowers Runway Show. The luncheon, for potential community partners and sponsors, is from 11:30 am. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20 at NineStar Connect, 2243 E. Main St., Greenfield. The fashion show is scheduled for Sept. 16 and will raise money for two local organizations that help people with recovery and rehabilitation.
