City’s pool offers free swimming Sundays

GREENFIELD – Greenfield’s public pool offers free swimming from 5-7 p.m. each Sunday.

The Kathy Dowling Aquatic Center in Riley Park is open noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for military or seniors; $3 for children 3-17 years old; and free for children ages 2 and younger.

Teens can work out for free this summer

GREENFIELD – Planet Fitness in Greenfield offers free membership for teens this summer.

Parks, theater to show free movies this summer

GREENFIELD – Free movies are available this summer.

Greenfield Parks and Recreation has its 2023 Summer Movies Series, with movies at various dates at local parks throughout the summer. For dates and movie titles, visit facebook.com/greenfieldparks.

VIP Cinemas will also show free movies at 10 a.m. every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the summer. Called Summer Family Flicks, the series is on a first-come, first serve basis June 7-Aug. 10; no large parties and no reservations are available. Visit vipcinemas.com for details.

Business provides crafting camp for children

GREENFIELD – A local business is offering crafting summer camps for children.

Handmade Dwelling, located at 5987 N. 300W., Greenfield, offers summer camps in June and July with hands-on projects for children such as paint pouring, 3-D laser crafting, stencil work, mixed media and macrame. Children’s classes coming up at orchard

GREENFIELD – Tuttle Orchards near Greenfield will host Play, Read and Grow events for children this summer. The experiences are designed for children ages 3 to 8, but other siblings may attend the 30-minute class that includes storytime, interactive activity or game, craft and admission to the Tractor Town playground.

Events are nearly every Tuesday and Thursday in June and July. Each week will feature a theme, including bees, butterflies, wind machines, farm-to-table, water, popcorn and more.
