GREENFIELD — Volunteers for Brandywine Community Garden have been planting seeds this month and preparing space for their 2023 season.

The garden launched in 2021 when a group of women from Brandywine Community Church had a desire to share fresh vegetables with the community through local food pantries and soup kitchens. Today, volunteers of all ages meet often to tend to the garden in the spring and summer months.

A plant sale is coming up 9 a.m. to noon May 6 to help raise money for the organization. On site will be starts of various vegetables and flowers, including hostas, iris bulbs, lilly bulbs and more. The sale will be at 1990 N. Meridian Road, Greenfield. For more information, search “Brandywine Community Garden” on Facebook.
