“Alice in Wonderland” to be performed in New Pal
NEW PALESTINE – New Palestine High School’s production of “Alice in Wonderland” is coming up this weekend.
The play, adapted by Anne Coulter Martens, will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at the New Palestine High School Auditorium, 4485 Victory Drive, New Palestine. Tickets are $5 at the door.
“Mamma Mia!” coming to G-CHS
GREENFIELD – Tickets are available now for the GC Drama production of “Mamma Mia!”
The musical, at Greenfield-Central High School, will be at 7 p.m. May 4, 5 and 6; and at 2 p.m. May 7. Tickets can be purchased at gcmusic.ludus.com/index.php at $10 for adults or $8 for students. Tickets will also be available at the door.
Numbers exhibit coming to downtown gallery
GREENFIELD – “Count Me In” is the upcoming exhibit at the Twenty North Gallery.
Anything with numbers will be celebrated in the downtown art exhibit, including artforms in 2D and 3D. Entry fee is $20 for members and $25 for non-members for two pieces, with a juror awarding $75 prizes.

Yoga courses coming to libraries
HANCOCK COUNTY – Beginner-friendly yoga will be available for adults in two weekly series in May.
Vinyasa Yoga will be at 10 a.m. each Saturday in May at the Sugar Creek branch of the Hancock County Public Library, 5731 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine. Vinyasa (flow) class incorporates short meditation, breathwork and physical yoga practice with an emphasis on intentional and mindful movements. The classes will be taught by Kristen Rojowski. Similarly, the Fortville-Vernon Township Public Library will host Intro to Yoga classes at 7 p.m. each Tuesday in May. Participants will learn the fundamentals of yoga from a certified instructor. Reserve a spot at fvtpl.org; the program is inconjunction with the Fortville Parks Department and will be at 400 W. Church St., Fortville.
Outdoor painting event coming in June
GREENFIELD – Hancock County Arts recently announced a Plein Air Paint-Out event coming in June.
The event, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3 in downtown Greenfield, will invite all ages to paint outdoors; return to the courthouse lawn by 1:30 p.m. to be eligible for judging and enjoy a lunch. The judge, Kjell Wangensteen, is associate curator of European art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and will award monetary prizes for three age divisions.
