Daniel W. Palmer, Jr., 53, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born March 4, 1970, in Seminole, Texas. Born into a military family, Daniel lived his early life in Ft Hood, Texas, and later lived in Indianapolis, Ft. Ritchie, Maryland, Japan, then back to Ft. Harrison, In., where he graduated from Lawrence North High School and played trumpet in their High School State Championship Band. He was deeply religious and attended church at the Army Chapels where his family was assigned. He earlier was Baptized in the First Baptist Church, Seminole, Texas. Daniel was an avid sports fan. In Japan he followed a Japanese American Sumo wrestler, Takamiyama. He was a huge Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 fan. He loved the Indy 500 Parade.

Daniel is survived by his wife Annelore ( Fentz) Palmer, whom he married November 2, 1991; son Daniel T. Palmer of Noblesville, father and stepmother Daniel W. Palmer, Sr and Joanne Palmer of Fishers, mother Patricia Somers and sister, Kristie Palmer of Texarkana, Tx, stepbrother James Lyons of Erie, Pa., and stepsister Dr. Melissa McGrath of Fishers.

A memorial visitation for Daniel will be from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Burial of Daniel’s cremated remains will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
